Kentucky Housing Corporation, the state housing finance agency, announced today that Ben A. Cook, chief executive officer, has resigned. Cook had served in this post since 2004 following his retirement from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in Louisville. Under his leadership, Kentucky Housing continued the advancement of affordable housing and developed additional initiatives to serve Kentucky’s most vulnerable residents.

McQuady, who has been with the Corporation for 23 years, is serving as interim chief executive officer. He said, “I value Kentucky Housing’s longtime tradition of excellence during its 35-year history and reputation as a leading housing finance agency in the nation. I look forward to working with the staff and Board of Directors of Kentucky Housing, as well as all of our partners across the state, in helping fulfill the housing needs of Kentuckians.”

McQuady has served Kentucky Housing in previous positions as controller, chief programs officer, chief opearting officer and chief financial officer. He is a certified public accountant and is a member of the Kentucky Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration from Eastern Kentucky University.
