Governor Beshear Announces Over $1.5 Million Awarded to Help Homeowners Facing Foreclosure

Joined by Lexington Mayor Jim Newberry and Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) Chief Executive Officer Richard L. McQuady, Governor Steve Beshear announced on Friday, February 6, that the Kentucky Homeownership Protection Center would receive a grant in excess of $1.5 million from NeighborWorks® America as a part of the federal Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008.

Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear announced at a press conference in Owensboro the creation of the Kentucky Homeownership Protection Center established by the 2008 Kentucky General Assembly to address the foreclosure crisis in Kentucky. The Protection Center will help Kentuckians in financial trouble become more proactive in keeping their homes.

First Protect My Kentucky Home Information Fair Held
